A quick rundown
Mindworks Surrey is a collaborative initiative supported by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership, Barbados, and the National Autistic Society. The service offers emotional wellbeing and mental health support to children and young people across Surrey. They came to us to help design and develop a new, public-facing website.
Our solution
We partnered closely with young people with lived experience to ensure the website genuinely met their needs - particularly those who are neurodivergent. Their involvement shaped everything from content structure to visual design, including the colour palette, imagery, and tone of voice.
This was a true co-production project, with inclusivity at its core. The young people weren’t just consulted - they were collaborators throughout.
The final site reflects this collaborative process, having gone through rigorous user testing to ensure the design, illustrations, and content were accessible, meaningful, and engaging for its audience.

What did they say?
We approached Frank with a very ambitious timescale for our new website. From the start, the project team understood both the brief and time constraints that we needed to meet. The team were supportive, responsive, and knowledgeable. They accompanied us each step of the way as we successfully co-developed the website; they produced creative concepts which were on point and met our requirements.
The project was well managed and delivered on time. Since our ‘go live’, we’ve received positive feedback about the site from many of our different stakeholders and we’re finding the content management system easy to get to grips with.
Overall, we’re really pleased with the result, and we’re looking forward to seeing the difference it will make to children, young people, their families and carers, and professionals over the years to come.
